The thoroughbreds on this website are listed by their breeders, owners or trainers.  Off the Track Thoroughbred Rescue is taking a proactive approach in listing these horses, free of charge, in an effort to assist owners in placing their horses in good, safe homes.  Potential buyers, adopters and lessees should contact the owners or persons listing the horses directly unless otherwise indicated on the individual horse's listing.

Off the Track Thoroughbred Rescue does not guarantee the condition or soundness of the horse's listed or the accuracy of the information posted at any time as this is up to each individual listing the horse.  Owners, buyers, adopters, lessees/lessors, are responsible for all vetting and shipping arrangements.  All arrangements are strictly and solely between the owner(s) and any buyer, adopter or lessee.  Submissions to list a horse may be made only by the horse's owner (age 18 or over).  To submit a horse listing please us the "Contact Info" form. 

Some helpful recommendations to assist interested parties.

• Please be considerate when contacting by phone.  Times zones may be different. Inquire to see what the best time is for a relaxed and unhurried inquiry.
• Please practice full disclosure.  Discuss the expectations you may have for any listed horse to assure fulfillment.  Reasonable expectations are conducive to a win-win for all involved and especially the horse!
• It's highly recommended that horses receive a pre-purchase exam or some type of baseline exam prior to commitment. 
• Average life expectancy of a horse is 20+ years.  Make sure you're willing to commit to the financial responsibilities of horse ownership.
